Cool little 3dphotoplayer
posted on 2008-07-03

I've been working on a side project with a photographer in Seattle. The goal here is to have a generic player deployed using Flash, that lets a user revolve a 360 degree sequence of images and zoom on a given point in the rotation. This particular system is done with a batch job in Photoshop, and a simple jsfl script that creates a fla of the images in the sequence; and of course the images provided by the Photographer. I'm pretty happy with it so far; and just thought it would be cool to have it available for preview for the .5 people who actually read this thing.

I spent a whole 3 weeks on this stupid blog

I'm not even a blogger, I should have just spent the time building a blog for someone and got money for it

There are however pictures on the way from my last trip to NY (and jer&canfest2k6), so please...stand by.

I had, scratch that, am currently having, the ...erm...pleasure of co-entertaining my pie's nephew for a small week. He's 7, he's obsessed with video games, he talks about nothing for vast stretches of time, in short, he's a very average normal kid. I must say, this very normal kid visit has produced a certain resolution of my future plans. I say a certain resolution in that it's no final, but pretty solid. I have little to no interest in breeding. Does that make me selfish? does it make me strange? Maybe it's my 27 year old version of refusing to admit that I need to talk to people. Or maybe its my grown up attempt to be anti-establishment.

I have brothers who are happily pursuing family lives. I've spent quite a bit of time with one and his fam and it's really great. I honestly don't how you do it Rich. They are a perfect family. Given this child is not mine, love perhaps is a great reductor of irritation.

All of a sudden, i've decided that really catchy titles for really boring and thin blog entries are funny. In fact, I might even go so far as to say catchy titles for blog entries that have NOTHING at ALL to do with the entries is even funnier.

Have a good Fourth!
